This annual tradition since 1993 transforms Newport News Park into a magical winter wonderland with two miles of dazzling holiday light displays set amongst beautiful woods and waterways. The event has grown steadily each year and now has more than one million lights, over 350 individual display pieces, 50 arches, and three miles of rope lighting over the two-mile drive.

Debuted in 2019, the Winter Walk of Lights is returning this Christmas with its striking light installations that offer thoughtful nods to the stunning Blue Ridge mountains and the surrounding wildlife. The Winter Walk takes visitors outdoors along a half-mile wooded path through a glimmering display of over 500,000 lights.
